Welcome to the fifth episode of the Stupid Sequels Podcast! Our guest is Nicole Wiseman and we are reviewing American Psycho 2: All American Girl.
We find truly terrible movies and give them all the attention they don’t deserve.
Each episode we’ll discuss exactly what made such a horrible sequel from casting to budget to just plain bad writing. While we all love a great movie there’s something just a little more fun about watching a seriously stupid sequel.
Now while they’re are plenty of awful sequels out there we have a few guidelines about the kind of movies we’ll be reviewing. We’re talking about direct to video, made for tv, never appeared in a theatre sequels. The ones the studios gave up on before they even started.
This movie may be our sharpest drop in quality between the two films. The first film is a celebrated movie based on a best selling novel with layers of intrigue and commentary. The sequel barely has a plot. With more mistaken identities and shoehorned “shock” twists than actual murders this movie was a real let down.
